Kento Momota one of the most potential Men’s Singles player that badminton has seen in a while. In April 2016 at the age of just 22 years, he was ranked world number 2! But he was suspended from any badminton tournaments for over a year due to illegal gambling by the Nippon Badminton Association(Japanese Badminton Association). It was a mistake which cost him the debut of his first Olympic Games in Rio.
In this video, he has been given the green light to compete again. Before competing in international tournaments, he must prove himself once again in domestic tournament that he is still on top. Winning the tournament brought him to tears. Kento Momota will be making his international return at the Canada Open 2017 from the 11th to 16th of July 2017.
